We are incredibly proud of the Veterinary Assisting students at Crystal River High School, who achieved a 100% pass rate on the Certified Veterinary Assistant (CVA) exam!

This outstanding accomplishment reflects the dedication, professionalism, and compassion of these students — and the exceptional leadership of their instructor, Ms. Leazott, whose vision for this program began more than 15 years ago and continues to thrive today.

These seniors have not only passed their Certified Veterinary Assisting exam, but many of these students have already completed their 500 hours of practical experience, 250 of which are done at local veterinary clinics:

Certified Veterinary Assistants play a vital role in animal healthcare, serving as the first line of care and providing critical support to veterinary teams. This certification also opens doors to future careers in veterinary medicine and beyond.
